Do you still believe in miracles?

In this world where we are too busy to stop and appreciate, we often overlook the wonders that God is doing day by day. Perhaps we’ve interchanged “luck” from “miracles.”

Your safety amidst the pandemic, an unexpected promotion from your boss or a surprise financial provision directly on your bank account could be some of the miracles we take for granted.

Nothing is impossible

As I read on different stories in the Bible, I am reminded that nothing is impossible with the Lord.

He changed water into wine (John 2:1–11), multiplied the five loaves and two fish to feed the five thousand (John 6: 1–14), let two blind men see (Matthew 9:27–31), parted the Red Sea (Exodus 14: 21–31) and has risen from the grave (Luke 24). Here and now, we have the same God. He is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8)

Let’s stand firm, and strengthen our faith and trust in our Lord. As it says in Ephesians 3:20,

“He is able to do far more abundantly more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us”.

His will, His way, His timing

Whatever miracle you are waiting for and praying for, He can accomplish it even right now. He can stop the war, eradicate the virus, turn your life around in just a snap. But He’s not doing so because God is teaching us something even more valuable. He’s moulding us and He wants us to have a deeper and personal relationship with Him.

As we face everyday, may we appreciate more the miracles around us. Because Jesus is in our hearts and our lives, He is our personal Lord and Savior, we can wait joyfully and expectantly and give thanks in advance for the answered prayers and more that He is brewing up for us. Let’s trust that His way, His will and His timing is the best for us.

Do you believe in miracles? I definitely do!
