Giving our best hours to Him

Jeremiah 29:13
“And when you will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.”

God has entrusted us with a precious gift of time. Twenty-four hours and seven days a week. Every day is significant, every hour is important, every moment is of value to God.

How many of those moments of your time are truly being used for His glory? The truth is, it’s easy to think of our time, especially our free time, as belonging to us; that’s our right to do whatever we like doing in those “down” moments of the day. But when we come to Christ, we are to lay everything at His feet — including our time.

If we want to build a deep relationship with God. Have a quiet time with Him, focus on Him and listen as He speaks through His Words. We have to be still so that we can know Him better. Our time with God should be invested like how we do with our friends. If we want God to be our best friend, we’ve got to give our best time to Him.

When we lay everything at the feet of Jesus and find our deepest fulfillment, rest, peace, strength, and joy in His presence alone, we are ushered into the supernatural, superhuman existence in which God designed us to live.
- That’s when the presence of God draws near
- That’s when our prayers are heard and answered
- That’s when the life we read about in Scripture becomes our reality.

Only when we are willing to give Him the best hours of the day — rather than whatever is left after we’ve wasted most of our time on selfish pleasure — will we truly experience vibrant intimacy with our Heavenly King.
