Walk Together

Sometimes, encouragement comes through a sweet affirmation from a friend or a surprise home-cooked meal. And often, seeing God’s faithfulness in other people’s lives. Most importantly, God’s presence as we seek Him in prayer.

When you feel alone, remember you are not alone. God is with you and there are people who love you. Don’t keep the burdens on yourself. Don’t keep it inside. You need other people to walk with you. They will help you grow into the person God made you to be. You need people that will support you, committed to helping you grow in your season where God has placed you, who will rejoice in your small victories and weep with you in your trouble.

This is what Paul wanted for the church in Colossae. In the book of Colossians 4:7–9 Paul says, “Tychicus will tell you all about my activities. He is a beloved brother and faithful minister and fellow servant in the Lord. I have sent him to you for this very purpose, that you may know how we are and that he may encourage your hearts and with him Onesimus, our faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you..’’

Are the people you hang out with helping you or hurting you? Are they building your faith or your fear? Are they causing you to worship or worry?

We all need people who will stand with you through tough times, who will encourage you and point you to God’s Word.

God loved us first so we can love others. We cannot love others until we experienced God’s amazing grace and lovingkindness in our own life. Until we seek Him and fully surrendered our life to Him.

You were made to share life, light, and blessings to others.

If you already have those people in your life, appreciate them and love them deeply. They are God’s blessing.

“Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble’’ (Ecclesiastes 4:9–10)
